INITIAL SETUP: M a i n t e n a n c e L e v e l Unit T o o l s a n d S p e c i a l T o o l s General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0780 00, Item 29) P e r s o n n e l R e q u i r e d Unit Mechanic E q u i p m e n t C o n d i t i o n Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Personnel heater duct removed (WP 0617 00) Floor plates removed (WP 0436 00) Coolant heater fuel shutoff valve closed (see your -10) REMOVAL 1. Remove ten straps (1) holding coolant heater hose (2) to personnel heater hose (3). WARNING Diesel fuel can catch fire and seriously injure or kill soldiers and damage or destroy vehicle. Wipe up fuel spills immediately. Do not smoke near fuel or when working on the fuel system. 2. Remove hose (2) from coolant heater fuel pump (4) and from elbow (5). 0643 00-1
