TM 9-2350-261-20-4 DRAIN AND FILL ENGINE COOLANT HEATER SYSTEM — Continued 0639 00 FILL 1. Close shutoff valves (1) and (2). 2. Fill cooling system (WP 0194 00). 3. Close heater fuel shutoff valve (see your -10). 4. Start engine (see your -10). 5. Hold RUN-OFF-START switch in START and run engine at 2,950 RPM for maximum 30 seconds to prime coolant pump. 6. Stop engine (see your -10). Refill cooling system (WP 0194 00). 7. Open heater fuel shutoff valve (see your -10). NOTE Hoses to and from battery box heat exchanger will gradually increase in temperature and remain warm if heater coolant system is primed and coolant heater is operating right. 8. Start heater (see your -10). Check for proper operation. If heater overheats and shuts off, repeat Steps 1 - 8. If problem persists, see WP 0070 00. FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS 1. Close power plant access door (see your -10). 2. Raise trim vane (see your -10). 3. Start engine (see your -10). 4. Raise and lock ramp (see your -10). 5. Stop engine (see your -10).
