INITIAL SETUP: M a i n t e n a n c e L e v e l Unit T o o l s a n d S p e c i a l T o o l s General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0780 00, Item 29) M a t e r i a l s / P a r t s Lockwasher (6) P e r s o n n e l R e q u i r e d Unit Mechanic E q u i p m e n t C o n d i t i o n Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Trim vane lowered (see your -10) Power plant access door open (see your -10) Power plant removed (if bottom discharge tube is to be removed) (WP 0131 00) REMOVAL 1. Remove six screws (1), lockwashers (2), and clamps (3) from six hull weldnuts. Discard lockwashers. NOTE If periscope power cable is stowed behind cylinder discharge tube, move cable away from work area to prevent damage to cable. Elbow will be removed for M1064 only. 2. Remove tube (4) and elbow (7) from fire extinguisher cylinder (5) and nipple (6). Remove clamp (3) from tube. 0768 00-1
