TM 9-2350-261-20-4 REPLACE FIRE EXTINGUISHER CONTROL VALVE AND EXTERNAL HANDLE — Continued 0766 00 REMOVAL WARNING You could be injured if cylinder discharges when it is out of its mounting brackets or is dropped. Handle with great care. 1. Loosen captive nut (1) on control valve (2). Remove valve from fire extinguisher cylinder (3). NOTE There are two types of control valves. Remove and install both valves same way. 2. Pull external handle (4) to break seal wire (5). Remove wire from handle and support bracket (6). Discard wire. 3. Remove insert (7) from handle (4). 4. Slide insert (7) down cable (8) until wedge (9) can be seen. Remove wedge and cable from insert. 0766 00-2
