TM 9-2350-261-20-4 REPLACE M42 VENTILATED FACE MASK (VFM) GAS FILTER — Continued 0693 00 INSTALLATION NOTE When positioning gas filter against bracket, ensure the air flow direction, as marked on gas filter, is toward the VFM heaters. 1. Install bracket (1), two screws (2), new lockwashers (3), and washers (4) in mounting position. 2. Place gas filter (5) into position against bracket (1), slide clamps (6) and (7) over bracket and gas filter. Tighten clamps securely. 3. Install coupling (8) and clamp (9) on gas filter (5). Tighten clamp securely. 4. Install coupling (10) and clamp (11) on gas filter (5). Tighten clamp securely. FOLLOW THROUGH STEPS 1. Raise and lock ramp (see your -10). 2. Stop engine (see your -10).
