TM 9-2350-261-20-4 REPLACE M8A3/M14 AIR PURIFIER AND FRAME (M113A2 ONLY) — Continued 0689 00 INSTALLATION NOTE Remove 1/4 to 1/2 inch of paint around mounting hole to ensure proper grounding. 1. Install mount (1), four screws (2), eight washers (3), and four new locknuts (4) on welded frame (5). 2. Install four mounts (6), 16 screws (7), 32 washers (8), and 16 new locknuts (9) on welded frame (10). 3. Install frame assembly (11), five screws (12), ten washers (13), and five new locknuts (14) and (15) on five mounts (1) and (6). Do not tighten one outside locknut (14) for ground wire lead (16) connection. 4. Insert ground wire lead (16) and tighten locknut (14). NOTE The air purifier must be adjusted before installation. See TM 3-6680-316-10. 5. Place air purifier (17) in frame assembly (11) and close latch (18). 6. Install three clamps (19) and hoses (20) onto the air purifier (17) and tighten clamps. 7. Connect power cable (21) to air purifier (17). FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS 1. Connect battery ground lead (WP 0294 00). END OF TASK 0689 00-3/4 blank
