INITIAL SETUP: M a i n t e n a n c e L e v e l Unit T o o l s a n d S p e c i a l T o o l s General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0780 00, Item 29) M a t e r i a l s / P a r t s Locknut (4) Lockwasher (10) Lockwasher Tie strap (AR) P e r s o n n e l R e q u i r e d Unit Mechanic E q u i p m e n t C o n d i t i o n Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Battery ground lead disconnected (WP 0294 00) REMOVAL 1. Disconnect wiring harness (1) from NBC control box (2). 2. Cut tie strap (3) that secures cable (4) to wiring harness (1). Discard tie strap. 3. Remove four screws (5), lockwashers (6), clamps (7), and wiring harness (1) from bulkhead weldnuts. Remove clamps from wiring harness. Discard lockwashers. 4. Remove circuit lead 537A (8) from driver’s heater (9). 5. Remove screw (10), washer (11), locknut (12), and clamp (13) from frame (14). Remove clamp from driver’s heater inlet hose (15) and wiring harness (1). Discard locknut. 6. Cut tie straps (16) that secure wiring harness (1) to commander’s heater inlet hose (17). Discard tie straps. 0684 00-1
