TM 9-2350-261-20-4 REPLACE HEATER FUEL PUMP (M577A2 ONLY) — Continued 0626 00 INSTALLATION 1. Place fuel pump (9) on rear floor support. Secure with two screws (13), four new lockwashers (14), and two new locknuts (15). WARNING Adhesive, primer, sealant compounds, and isopropyl alcohol are toxic and flammable. These compounds are toxic to eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. Continued exposure can make you dizzy and irritate your eyes and throat. Always use in well ventilated areas, away from heat, sparks, and flames. Do not breathe fumes. Do not allow into contact with skin and eyes. Use goggles or face shield and protective gloves. 2. Apply light coat of sealing compound to all external tapered threads. Do not apply sealant beyond end of tapered threads. 3. Install elbow (12) on fuel pump (9). 4. Install adapter (11) in elbow (12). Connect fuel hose (10) to adapter (11). 5. Install adapter (8) on fuel pump (9). Connect fuel hose (7) to adapter (8). 6. Align clamp (6), two new lockwashers (5), and two clamps (4) with hull weldnut. Secure with screw (3). 7. Install fuel pump lead (2) on circuit 402A lead (1). 0626 00-3
