TM 9-2350-261-20-3 REPLACE PERSONNEL HEATER FUEL FILTER, HOSE, TUBE, FITTINGS AND SHIELD (M1068 ONLY) — Continued 0612 00 INSTALLATION 1. Install two plugs (1) and new packings (2) in ports 1 and 4 of fuel filter (3) NOTE Flareless (compression) fittings are used on the fuel lines. When these fittings are first installed, a sleeve is crimped on the tube or hose end. Consequently, when tubes or hoses are replaced, new fitting sleeves are also required. 2. Install elbow (4), adapter (5), and two new packings (6) in ports 2 and 3 of fuel filter (3). 3. Install fuel filter (3) on sponson and secure with two screws (7), new lockwashers (8), and washers (9). 4. Connect nipple (10) and elbow (11) to personnel heater (12). NOTE If fuel hose was replaced do Step 5, otherwise go to Step 6. 5. Install new spiral wrap (13) to fuel hose (14). 6. Connect fuel hose (14) to straight adapter (5) on fuel filter (3) and elbow (11) to personnel heater (12). 7. Install four new tie straps (15) to fuel hose (14). NOTE If fuel hose was replaced do Step 8, otherwise go to Step 9. 8. Install new spiral wrap (16) to fuel tube (17). 9. Connect fuel tube (17) to fuel pump (18) and elbow (4) to fuel filter (3). 10. Install new tie strap (19) to fuel tube (17). 11. Install three screws (20), new lockwashers (21), and clamps (22) to weldnuts. 0612 00-4
