TM 9-2350-261-20-3 RAISE/LOWER INOPERABLE/UNSAFE RAMP — Continued 0579 00 1. Connect cable (1) to tow pintle (2) of ramp (3) and to lifting hook of powered lifting device. Place cable under center of ramp and out at top edge. If required, use crowbar to raise ramp slightly. 2. Close ramp access door (4) and secure with combat lock (5) (see your -10). 3. Secure combat lock (5) with padlock (6) from tool bag (see your -10) 4. Raise ramp (1). Make sure ramp actuator cable does not get caught between ramp and hull. 5. Close ramp (1) and secure with ramp lock (see your -10). WARNING An inoperable/unsafe ramp can fall and kill soldiers. Follow these procedures and never get behind a raised, inoperable/unsafe ramp that is not secured. NOTE Steps 6 - 10 apply to all carriers except M577A2, M1068, and carriers with external fuel tanks. 0579 00-2
