TM 9-2350-261-20-3 REPLACE TRIPOD STOWAGE BRACKETS (M901A1 ONLY) — Continued 0551 00 INSTALLATION 1. Install tiedown support (6) on hull. Secure with two washers (10), new lockwashers (9), and screws (8). 2. TIGHTEN TWO SCREWS (8) TO 216-264 LB-IN (24-30 N·M) TORQUE. Use torque wrench (WP 0780 00, Item 102). 3. Install tripod tiedown arm (7) on tiedown support (6). Secure with spring (5), spacer (4), spring (3), pivot support pin (2), and two new cotter pins (1). NOTE Short end of springs touch tripod tiedown support and long ends touch grooved slot of tripod tiedown arm. 4. Install tripod tiedown cap (11) on tripod tiedown arm (7). Secure with two washers (12), cap pivot pin (13), and two new cotter pins (14). NOTE Flat edge of tripod tiedown cap must face springs. 5. Install support cushion (15) and support channel (16) on floorboard. Secure with two washers (17) and screws (18). 6. TIGHTEN TWO SCREWS (18) TO 72-84 LB-IN (8-10 N·M) TORQUE. Use torque wrench (WP 0780 00, Item 102). 7. Install lower support bracket (19) on carrier. Secure with three spacers (20), new lockwashers (21), and screws (22). 8. TIGHTEN TWO SCREWS (22) TO 72-84 LB-IN (8-10 N·M) TORQUE. Use torque wrench (WP 0780 00, Item 102). 9. Install tripod plate strap (23) on lower support bracket (19). Secure with six washers (24), two washers (25), and screws (26). 10. TIGHTEN TWO SCREWS (26) TO 50-55 LB-FT (68-75 N·M) TORQUE. Use torque wrench (WP 0780 00, Item 103). 11. Install two support shims (27) and lower support bracket (19) on support channel (16). Secure with two screws (28), washers (29), and new locknuts (30). 12. TIGHTEN TWO SCREWS (28) TO 84-108 LB-IN (10-12 N·M) TORQUE. Use torque wrench (WP 0780 00, Item 102). 0551 00-4
