INITIAL SETUP: M a i n t e n a n c e L e v e l Unit T o o l s a n d S p e c i a l T o o l s General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0780 00, Item 29) M a t e r i a l s / P a r t s Cotter pin (2) Locknut (4) P e r s o n n e l R e q u i r e d Unit Mechanic Helper (H) E q u i p m e n t C o n d i t i o n Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) REMOVAL 1. Loosen two straps (1) and remove stowed equipment from rear external stowage frame (2). 2. Remove two straps (1) from loops on hull rear plate and frame (2). 3. Remove two cotter pins (3), shouldered pins (4), four washers (5), and rear external stowage frame (2) from two mounts (6). Discard cotter pins. Have helper hold up one side. 4. Remove four screws (7), washers (8), and two mounts (6) from hull rear plate. 5. Remove four locknuts (9), screws (10), eight washers (11), and pad (12) from rear external stowage frame (2). Discard locknuts. 0538 00-1
