INITIAL SETUP: M a i n t e n a n c e L e v e l Unit T o o l s a n d S p e c i a l T o o l s General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0780 00, Item 29) M a t e r i a l s / P a r t s Locknut (4) P e r s o n n e l R e q u i r e d Unit Mechanic Helper (H) R e f e r e n c e s See your -10 E q u i p m e n t C o n d i t i o n Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Trim vane stowed (see your -10) REMOVAL NOTE Pods on trim vane are no longer required. Remove and dispose if still on trim vane. 1. Remove two outer locknuts (1) and screws (2) from hinges (3). Discard locknuts. 2. (H): Lower trim vane (see your -10). 3. Remove two inner locknuts (4) and screws (5) from hinges (6). Remove trim vane from carrier. Have helper assist. Discard locknuts. 4. Remove hinges from trim vane and retain. 0421 00-1
