TM 9-2350-261-20-3 REPLACE/REPAIR RADIO OPERATOR’S SEAT (M1068 ONLY) — Continued 0489 00 7. If removed, install new bushing (1) in seat (2). Peen both ends snugly to seat and secure. 8. Install two new long spring pins (3) in seat (2). NOTE If handle (4) is replaced, use latch (5) as a template, and drill 1/8 inch (3 mm) hole in handle for spring pin (6). 9. Install latch (5), spring (7), and handle (4) in seat (2). Secure with two new short spring pins (6). 10. If locknut(s) (8) was removed, install new locknut(s) (8) in seat (2). 11. Secure seat (2) to rails (9) with eight screws (10). 12. Align backrest bracket (11) and two washers (12) with two rails (9). Secure with two new lockwashers (13) and screws (14). 13. Align two clips (15) and bracket (11) with seat (2). Secure with six screws (16), washers (17), and new locknuts (18). 14. Install seat cushion (19) on seat (2). 15. Install back brace (20) in bracket (11). 16. Align backrest (21) with back brace (20). Secure with four washers (22) and screws (23). 0489 00-5
