INITIAL SETUP: M a i n t e n a n c e L e v e l Unit T o o l s a n d S p e c i a l T o o l s General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0780 00, Item 29) M a t e r i a l s / P a r t s Locknut (2) P e r s o n n e l R e q u i r e d Unit Mechanic E q u i p m e n t C o n d i t i o n Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Ramp lowered (see your -10) REMOVAL 1. Push driver’s seat back assembly (1) forward against spring tension of flanges (2) and lift seat back assembly from seat (3). 2. On old configuration seats, remove two screws (4), locknuts (5), and seat lock rack (6) from seat mounting plate (7). Discard locknuts. 3. Slide seat (3) forward. Remove four screws (8) from seat mounting plate (7) and seat impact absorber (9) (on new configuration seats) or post assembly (10) (on old configuration seats). Remove plate (7). 4. On old configuration seats, remove four screws (11) from seat impact absorber (9) and post assembly (10). Remove absorber. 0478 00-1
