TM 9-2350-261-20-3 REPLACE MORTAR HATCH COVERS (M1064 ONLY) — Continued 0468 00 INSTALLATION 1. Install canvas strap (3) on door (4). 2. Place two new seals (5) over retaining groove in door (4). Press seals into place. 3. Install two new seals (1) and two new seals (2) on center door. 4. Place two spacers (6) and hinges (7) and (8) on hull top plate. Secure with four washers (9) and screws (10). TIGHTEN SCREWS TO 60-65 LB-FT (81-88 N·M) TORQUE. Use torque wrench. WARNING Lifting or moving objects in excess of 70 pounds could injure you. Get an assistant or use a lifting device to move heavy objects. 5. Align door (4) with hinges (7) and (8). Install two spacers (11) and shield (12). Have helper assist. 6. Apply light coat of grease to each spring (13). Install two springs in shield (12) for left door section. Install six springs in shield for right door section. 7. Place door (4) in vertical position. Install spacer(s) (14) and bracket (15). Secure with two washers (16) and screws (17). TIGHTEN SCREWS TO 60-65 LB-FT (81-88 N·M) TORQUE. Use torque wrench. 0468 00-3
