TM 9-2350-261-20-3 REPLACE MORTAR HATCH INTERIOR RELEASE MECHANISMS (M1064 ONLY) — Continued 0466 00 REMOVAL NOTE There are three interior latch mechanisms. Inner chain and tube are longer than outside chains and tubes. Remove and install all three release mechanisms the same way. Left section is shown. 1. Remove two cotter pins (1) from headed pins (2). Discard cotter pins. 2. Remove two headed pins (2) and clevises (3) from tee head bolts (4). 3. Remove two clevises (3) and tube (5) from chain (6). 4. Remove four nuts (7), two tee head bolts (4), and springs (8) from brackets (9). 5. Remove eight screws (10), lockwashers (11), two brackets (9), and washers (12) from cover section (13). Discard lockwashers. 6. Remove four screws (14), lockwashers (15), two strikes (16), and spacer(s) (17) from hull top plate. Discard lockwashers. 0466 00-2
