TM 9-2350-261-20-3 REPLACE COMMANDER’S HATCH HOOK AND BUMPER (M577A2 AND M1068 ONLY) — Continued 0462 00 REMOVAL WARNING Falling hatch could seriously injure you. Keep head lower than closed hatch position when opening or closing hatch. Keep hands clear of hatch rim when closing. Make sure latch pin or mechanism is fully engaged when hatch is in any open position. 1. Open both ends of hook (1). Remove from chain (2) and hull bracket. 2. Remove tube (3) from chain (2). 3. Open both ends of hook (4). Remove from chain (2) and quick release pin (5). 4. Remove two screws (6), nuts (7), four washers (8), and block (9) from bracket. 5. Remove locknut (10), washer (11), bumper (12), and washer (13) from hull brackets. Discard locknut. 6. Remove locknut (14), screw (15), two washers (16), spring (17), two spacers (18), and hook (19) from hull brackets. Discard locknut. 0462 00-2
