TM 9-2350-261-20-3 REPLACE COMMANDER’S HATCH COVER (M577A2 AND M1068 ONLY) — Continued 0461 00 INSTALLATION 1. If removed, place seal (1) over retaining groove on cover (2). Press seal into place. Trim end of seal, if necessary. 2. Install screw (3) in cover (2). Secure with new locknut (4). 3. Align cover (2) with hinge brackets. Install two spacers (5) and tubes (6). 4. Apply a light coat of grease on each spring (7). Install 14 springs in each tube (6). 5. Place cover (2) in vertical position. Install two retaining plates (8) on hatch brackets. Secure with four screws (9) and new locknuts (10). FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS 1. Install and adjust commander’s hatch interior latch (WP 0460 00). 2. Close cover and check for proper installation.
