TM 9-2350-261-20-3 REPLACE COMMANDER’S CUPOLA MACHINE GUN MOUNT STOPS (M1059 ONLY) — Continued 0458 00 INSTALLATION 1. Install catch (1) on mount (2). Secure with two new lockwashers (3) and screws (4). TIGHTEN SCREWS TO 264-284 IN-LB (30-32 N·M) TORQUE. Use torque wrench. NOTE Install shims as required so pin of catch contacts bracket from 5/16 to 7/16 inch (8 to 11 mm). Make sure flat surface of bracket makes contact with pin. 2. Install shims (5) and bracket (6) on carrier. Secure with two washers (7), new lockwashers (8), and screws (9). TIGHTEN SCREWS TO 264-284 IN-LB (30-32 N·M) TORQUE. Use torque wrench. 3. Turn cupola until catch (1) contacts bracket (6). Measure distance from bottom of pin to top of bracket. Distance should be 5/16 to 7/16 inch (8 to 11 mm). If not, add or remove shims (5) to obtain correct measurement. END OF TASK 0458 00-2
