TM 9-2350-261-20-3 REPLACE DRIVER’S HATCH LATCH AND BUMPER (ALL EXCEPT M901A1) — Continued 0448 00 INSTALLATION NOTE Steps 1 - 6 apply to M577A2 and M1068 carriers. 1. Align hold-open hook (15), two spacers (14), two springs (13), and two washers (12) with hull bracket (20). Secure with screw (11) and new locknut (10). NOTE Install washer(s), as needed, to compress bumper 1/4 inch (6 mm) when hold-open hook is engaged. 2. Install washer(s) (9) and bumper (8) in hull bracket (20). Secure with washer (7) and new locknut (6). 3. Install S-hook (4) on quick release pin (5) and chain (2). Squeeze both ends of S-hook to secure. 4. Install tube (3) on chain (2). 5. Install S-hook (1) in chain (2) and on hull bracket (20). Squeeze both ends of S-hook to secure. 6. Install block (19), four washers (18), two screws (16), and nuts (17) on hull bracket (20). 0448 00-4
