TM 9-2350-261-20-3 REPLACE DRIVER’S HATCH LATCH AND BUMPER (ALL EXCEPT M901A1) — Continued 0448 00 NOTE Steps 7 - 12 apply to M577A2 and M1068 carriers. 7. Open both ends of hook (1). Remove from chain (2) and hull bracket (20). 8. Remove tube (3) from chain (2). 9. Open both ends of hook (4). Remove from chain (2) and quick release pin (5). 10. Remove locknut (6), washer (7), bumper (8), and washer(s) (9) from bulkhead bracket. Discard locknut. 11. Remove locknut (10), screw (11), two washers (12), springs (13), two spacers (14), and hook (15) from hull brackets. Discard locknut. 12. Remove two screws (16), nuts (17), four washers (18), and block (19) from hull bracket (20). CLEAN, INSPECT, AND REPAIR 1. Check spring. Replace broken or weak spring. 2. Check bumper. Replace bumper that is cut, hard, or has stripped threads. 3. Check spring clip. Replace if broken or weak. 0448 00-3
