INITIAL SETUP: M a i n t e n a n c e L e v e l Unit T o o l s a n d S p e c i a l T o o l s General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0780 00, Item 29) M a t e r i a l s / P a r t s FRH hydraulic fluid (WP 0782 00, Item 27) Cotter pin (2) Locknut (3) Preformed packing (2) P e r s o n n e l R e q u i r e d Unit Mechanic R e f e r e n c e s WP 0409 00 E q u i p m e n t C o n d i t i o n Engine stopped/shutdown (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Ramp lowered (see your -10) Driver’s seat removed (WP 0478 00) Pivot steer system drained (WP 0409 00) REMOVAL NOTE Both master cylinders are removed and installed in the same way. 1. Remove hose (1), nut (2), and adapter (3) from elbow (4). 2. Remove elbow (4) and preformed packing (5) from master cylinder (6). Discard packing. 3. Remove cotter pin (7) and clevis pin (8). Disconnect clevis (9) from levers and shaft (10). Discard cotter pin. 4. Remove three screws (11), locknuts (12), and master cylinder (6) from support (13). Discard locknuts. 5. Remove master cylinder filler cap (14). Empty master cylinder (6). 6. Remove clevis (9) and bellows (15) from master cylinder (6). 7. Disconnect hose (1) from bulkhead elbow (16). 0412 00-1
