INITIAL SETUP: M a i n t e n a n c e L e v e l Unit T o o l s a n d S p e c i a l T o o l s General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0780 00, Item 29) M a t e r i a l s / P a r t s Grease (WP 0782 00, Item 24) Key washer (2) Locknut (7) P e r s o n n e l R e q u i r e d Unit Mechanic Helper (H) E q u i p m e n t C o n d i t i o n Engine stopped/shutdown (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Trim vane lowered and power plant front access door open (see your -10) Driver’s power plant access panel removed (WP 0430 00) Hull bottom access cover removed (WP 0434 00) Air control valve removed (WP 0187 00) Air cleaner housing and element removed (WP 0185 00) REMOVAL 1. Rotate transmission drive shaft (1) so mounting flanges are in vertical position. 2. Disconnect three wiring harness connectors (2) at driver’s compartment bulkhead. 3. Remove two screws (3), clamps (4), and wiring harness (5) from transmission cross-shaft bracket (6). 0397 00-1
