TM 9-2350-261-20-2 REPLACE DIFFERENTIAL OIL FILTER AND FITTINGS — Continued 0355 00 4. Remove two screws (7), locknuts (8), and washers (9). Remove filter (1) with oil filter head (10) and bracket (11) from engine. Discard locknuts. 5. Remove two screws (12), lockwashers (13), and bracket (11) from filter head (10). Discard lockwashers. 6. Remove adapter (4) from bushing(14). 7. Remove bushing (14) from oil filter head (10). 8. Remove elbow (6) from head (10). INSPECTION-ACCEPTANCE AND REJECTION CRITERIA 1. Check fittings, hardware and hoses for cracks, damage and wear. Replace if needed. INSTALLATION WARNING Adhesive, primer, sealant compounds, and isopropyl alcohol are toxic and flammable. These compounds are toxic to eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. Continued exposure can make you dizzy and irritate your eyes and throat. Always use in well ventilated areas, away from heat, sparks, and flames. Do not breathe fumes. Do not allow into contact with skin and eyes. Use goggles or face shield and protective gloves. 1. Apply a thin, even coat of sealing compound to cleaned external threads of all fittings before installation. 2. Install elbow (1) in oil filter head (2). 3. Install bushing (3) in head (2). 4. Install adapter (4) in bushing(3). 5. Install bracket (5) on head (2). Secure with two screws (6) and new lockwashers (7). 6. Install filter head (2) with bracket (5) on engine. Secure with two screws (8), washers (9), and new locknuts . 0355 00-2
