INITIAL SETUP: M a i n t e n a n c e L e v e l Unit T o o l s a n d S p e c i a l T o o l s General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0780 00, Item 29) M a t e r i a l s / P a r t s Locknut Locknut P e r s o n n e l R e q u i r e d Unit Mechanic E q u i p m e n t C o n d i t i o n Engine stopped/shutdown (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Trim vane lowered and power plant front access door open (see your -10) Driver’s power plant access panel removed (WP 0430 00) Power plant rear access panel removed (WP 0431 00, WP 0432 00, or WP 0433 00) Cooling system completely drained (WP 0193 00) REMOVAL 1. Remove two clamps (1) and hose (2) from deaeration elbow (3) and coolant tube (4). 2. Remove two clamps (5) and hose (6) from coolant tube (4) and radiator elbow (7). 3. Remove locknut (8), washer (9), screw (10), clamp (11), and coolant tube (4) from bracket (12). Discard locknut. 4. Remove coolant tube (4) through power plant rear access panel opening. 5. Remove clamp (11), two clamps (13), and insulation (14) from coolant tube (4). 6. Remove screw (15), washer (16), locknut (17), and bracket (12) from power plant compartment bulkhead. Discard locknut. 0198 00-1
