TM 9-2350-261-20-2 REPLACE ENGINE COOLANT PUMP — Continued 0197 00 INSTALLATION WARNING Adhesive, primer, sealant compounds, and isopropyl alcohol are toxic and flammable. These compounds are toxic to eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. Continued exposure can make you dizzy and irritate your eyes and throat. Always use in well ventilated areas, away from heat, sparks, and flames. Do not breathe fumes. Do not allow into contact with skin and eyes. Use goggles or face shield and protective gloves. 1. Apply sealing compound to new gasket (10). Secure gasket, coolant pump (9), and bracket (8) to oil cooler housing with one socket head screw ( 7), four w ashers (5), new lo c kwash e rs (6) , an d cap scr e ws (4 ). 2. Secure bypass hose (2) to thermostat tube (3) and coolant pump (9) with two clamps (1). 3. Install coolant pump drive belts (WP 0196 00). 4. Adjust coolant drive belts (WP 0196 00). FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS 1. Install power plant assembly in carrier (WP 0131 00). Leave power plant access door open. 2. Start engine (see your -10). Check for leaks around water pump and bypass hose. 3. Stop/shutdown engine (see your -10). 4. Close power plant front access door (see your -10). END OF TASK 0197 00-2
