TM 9-2350-261-20-2 REPLACE GENERATOR FIELD SWITCH — Continued 0232 00 INSTALLATION WARNING Adhesive, primer, sealant compounds, and isopropyl alcohol are toxic and flammable. These compounds are toxic to eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. Continued exposure can make you dizzy and irritate your eyes and throat. Always use in well ventilated areas, away from heat, sparks, and flames. Do not breathe fumes. Do not allow into contact with skin and eyes. Use goggles or face shield and protective gloves. NOTE New switches do not require pipe plug and washer. Earlier switches may have a threaded hole that should be sealed with a pipe plug and washer to prevent fuel from leaking out. If there is a pipe plug without a head, it can be installed too deep causing the switch to short out. Reuse old pipe plug and washer if you get an older style switch. 1. Coat threads of switch (2) with sealing compound. 2. Install switch (2) on tee (3) on secondary fuel filter (4). 3. Connect circuit 1A/1B lead (1) to switch (2). FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS 1. Check operation of field switch. 2. Install rear power plant access panel (see your -10). END OF TASK 0232 00-2
