TM 9-2350-261-20-1 PERSONNEL HEATER MALFUNCTIONS — Continued 0069 00 4Y 1. Check to see if HEATER ON indicator comes on in less than 3 minutes. 2. Does HEATER ON indicator come on in less than 3 minutes? 4YN GO TO FY (PAGE 0069 00-9) 5Y 1. Turn HEATER SWITCH to ON. Do not stop at OFF position. 2. Do blower and pump stay on? 5YN 1. Replace heater ON/OFF/START switch (WP 0614 00). 2. Verify no faults found. 6Y 1. Check to see if heater continues to produce hot air for 10 minutes. 2. Does heater continue producing hot air for 10 minutes? 6YN 1. Heater shuts off prematurely. 2. Notify your supervisor. 7Y 1. Listen to heater blower. 2. Turn HI/LO switch to HI. 3. Does blower speed increase? 7YN GO TO HY (PAGE 0069 00-10) 8Y 1. Feel heater hot air outlet. 2. Has air temperature increased? 8YN 1. Shut off heater (see your -10). 2. Faulty heater restrictor solenoid. 3. Notify your supervisor. 9Y NOTE Heater will automatically shut off when air inlet temperature is 60 degrees or above. This is normal. 1. Run heater on HI for 10 minutes. 2. Does heater continue producing hot air? 9YN 1. Shut off heater (see your -10). 2. Insufficient heater operation. 3. Notify your supervisor. 0069 00-2
