Is voltage 27.5 or higher? 2YN GO TO BY (PAGE 0020 00-2) 3Y C A U T I O N If voltage is 35 or more volts, shut off engine. Alternator could be damaged. 1. Raise engine speed slowly. 2. Is voltage between 27.5 and 28.5 volts? 3YN GO TO CY (PAGE 0020 00-3) 4Y 1. Run engine at 900 RPM and turn on electrical equipment (lights and radio). 2. Does voltage vary less than ± 0.5 volts? 4YN 1. Go to 200 Amp Charge/Regulation Troubleshooting (WP 0021 00). 2. Verify no faults found. 5Y 1. Verify no faults found. BY 1. Adjust voltage regulator setting (WP 0229 00). 2. Start engine and run at fast idle (800 RPM) with no electrical equipment/load. 3. Is voltage higher than battery voltage? BYN 1.
