If you lock up the steering lever while moving, you could be injured and/or damage the carrier. 4. Release the steering levers. Pull back on both levers so the lock buttons pop up, then ease the levers all the way forward. 5. Start engine of recovery vehicle. 6. Move out. Find a straight, flat stretch of road or ground and have the tow vehicle pull you at 20 to 25 mph. When you get up to about 20 mph, shift the range selector to 1-3 range (WP 0004 00). 0065 00-4
