TM 9-2350-247-20-3 REPLACE AIR STRAINER (M548A1) — Continued 0500 00 INSTALLATION 1. New or used element (10) needs to be soaked in new or fresh engine lubricating oil and then squeezed out until element is slightly oiled. 2. Insert element (10) in air strainer (3). Install new gasket (9) and cover (8) on air strainer (3) with four washers (7) and screws (6). 3. Install air strainer (3) and new gasket (4) on compressor (5) with two new lock washers (2) and screws (1). FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS 1. Install power plant rear access cover/door (see your -10). 2. Install bulkhead protector, if material handling kit is installed (WP 0487 00). END OF TASK 0500 00-2
