INITIAL SETUP: M a i n t e n a n c e L e v e l Unit T o o l s a n d S p e c i a l T o o l s General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0541 00, Item 57) P e r s o n n e l R e q u i r e d Unit Mechanic R e f e r e n c e s See your -10 E q u i p m e n t C o n d i t i o n Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Bulkhead protector removed, if material handling kit is installed (WP 0487 00) Power plant rear access cover/door removed (see your -10) Compressor drive belt guard removed (WP 0497 00) ADJUSTMENT 1. Turn adjusting nut (1) to the right to tighten or to the left to loosen compressor drive belts (2). 2. Turn adjusting nut (1) until 5/8 inch (16 mm) deflection is obtained when about 25 lbs (11 kg) force is applied to each compressor drive belt (2) midway between compressor pulley (3) and drive pulley (4). 0498 00-1
