TM 9-2350-247-20-3 REPLACE AIR BRAKE COMPRESSOR (M548A1) — Continued 0489 00 6. Install compressor nipple (1) in compressor (2). Connect governor-to-compressor air hose (3) to nipple. 7. Install oil filler union (4) in engine. Connect compressor-to-oil filler tube hose (5) to union. FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS 1. Fill compressor (2) with oil. 2. Close drain cock (6). 3. Start engine (see your -10). 4. Check for proper operation of air brake compressor. 5. Stop engine (see your -10). 6. Install air strainer (WP 0500 00). 7. Install compressor drive pulley and belts (WP 0499 00). 8. Install bulkhead protector, if material handling kit is installed (WP 0487 00). 9. Install top access cover and grilles (WP 0390 00). 10. Install power plant rear access door (see your -10). END OF TASK 0489 00-5/6 blank
