TM 9-2350-247-20-3 REPLACE ENGINE COOLANT/VEHICLE COMPARTMENT HEATER EXHAUST PIPES GUARD (M548A1) — Continued 0479 00 REMOVAL 1. Remove left side intake grille (WP 0390 00). 2. Loosen three nuts (1) and remove exhaust hood (2) from heater exhaust pipes (3). 3. Remove eight lock nuts (4), washers (5), and screws (6) from guard (7), two mounting brackets (8), and two mounting brackets (9). Remove guard from four mounting brackets. Discard lock nuts. 4. Remove three lock nuts (10) and screws (11) from two upper double angle brackets (12). Remove two upper double angle brackets with two mounting brackets (8) from heater exhaust pipes (3). Discard lock nuts. 5. Remove three lock nuts (10) and screws (11) from two lower double angle brackets (13). Remove two lower double angle brackets with two mounting brackets (9) from heater exhaust pipes (3). Discard lock nuts. 6. Remove eight screws (14) and washers (15) from two mounting brackets (8), two mounting brackets (9), upper double angle brackets (12), and lower double angle brackets (13). 0479 00-2
