M548A3 coolant heater does not have a cover. M548A1 coolant heater is shown. For M548A1, do Step 2. 1. Turn off coolant valve (1) and coolant valve (2). 2. Remove two screws (3) and washers (4) that secure heater cover plate (5) to mounting bracket (6). Remove plate. 3. Disconnect engine inlet and plate outlet coolant hoses from engine coolant heater (WP 0476 00). 0477 00-1
