INITIAL SETUP: M a i n t e n a n c e L e v e l Unit T o o l s a n d S p e c i a l T o o l s General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0541 00, Item 57) Multimeter (WP 0541 00, Item 29) M a t e r i a l s / P a r t s Wiping rag (WP 0542 00, Item 45) Grommet Lock washer (2) Lock washer (10) P e r s o n n e l R e q u i r e d Unit Mechanic R e f e r e n c e s See your -10 E q u i p m e n t C o n d i t i o n Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Battery negative lead(s) disconnected (WP 0292 00) Top left access grille removed (see your -10 or WP 0390 00) Heater exhaust pipe removed (WP 0480 00 or WP 0481 00) REMOVAL NOTE Engine coolant heater wiring harness for M548A1 and M548A3 is removed and installed the same way. M548A1 wiring harness is shown. 1. Pull back protector (1) on circuit 402A lead (2). Remove nut (3), washer (4), and lead from coolant pump (5). 2. Disconnect circuit 402A lead (6) from connector (7). 3. Remove nut (8), two lock washers (9), screw (10), and ground lead (11) from mount (12). Discard lock washers. 4. Disconnect connector (13) from coolant heater (14). 0473 00-1
