TM 9-2350-247-20-3 REPLACE VEHICLE COMPARTMENT HEATER ASSEMBLY (KIT I) (M548A1) — Continued 0446 00 INSTALLATION NOTE If new heater is Model 8460C, do Steps 1 - 10. 1. Remove heater controls cover (WP 0450 00). 2. Remove screw (1), washer (2), and blower lead 6 (3) from terminal board (4). 3. Remove four screws (5) and heater blower (6) from heater housing (7). 4. Remove grommet (8) from heater housing (7). Discard grommet. 5. Drill new hole (9) 19/32 in (15 mm) into heater housing (7). 6. Install new grommet (8) in new 19/32 in (15 mm) hole in heater housing (7). 7. Thread blower lead 6 (3) through new grommet (8) to terminal board (4). Secure with washer (2) and screw (1). 8. Install heater blower (6) in heater housing (7) with four screws (5). 9. Cover old opening (10) with rubber adhesive tape. 0446 00-5
