TM 9-2350-247-20-3 INSPECT POWER PLANT SLING — Continued 0443 00 5. Inspect lifting shackle (1) for following: a. Verify correct lifting shackle (1) is being used. Part number 12328579 and/or SWL21T should be visible in raised letters. b. Verify correct bolt (2) is being used. Diameter of bolt should be 1 3/8 inch (35 mm), and bolt head should be marked with HS in raised letters. Nut (3) should be snug and a cotter pin (4) must be installed through bolt. c. If any cracks are found in lifting shackle (1), remove sling from service. d. Lifting shackle (1) must have a minimum width of 1 31/32 inch (5 cm) between eyes (5). If shackle has a visible decrease in eye width or bending and deformation and damaged threads, remove sling from service. 0443 00-5
