TM 9-2350-247-20-2 ADJUST STEERING CONTROLS (M548A1) — Continued 0367 00 m. Install steering control rod clevises (9) on actuator arm (10). Secure with two pins (11) and two new cotter pins (12). n. Install two return springs (13) on two hull brackets, outer shaft, and actuator arm levers (10). o. Make sure button (14) on top of steering lever works freely. Steering lever pawl (5) must fully engage ratchet with lever back and button pressed. Button must pop up after pawl engagement with slight rearward pressure on lever. Plunger rod (4) must move freely without binding. FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS 1. Lower right and left center seat floor plates (WP 0394 00). 2. Lower center seat (see your -10). 3. Start engine (see your -10). Check steering controls for proper operation. END OF TASK 0367 00-7/8 blank
