TM 9-2350-247-20-2 REPLACE STEERING CONTROL/LINKAGE (M548A1) — Continued 0366 00 INSTALLATION 1. Install three bearings (1) in three bearing housings (2). Secure with six retainer rings (3). 2. Install three lubrication fittings (4) on three bearing housings (2). 3. Install one bearing housing (2), outer shaft (5), and two bearing housings (2) on inner shaft (6). 4. Place inner shaft (6) assembled with one bearing housing (2) and outer shaft (5) on center seat support. 5. Align two bearing housings (2) with mounting plates. 6. Place three bearing housings (2) in place using shims (7), as needed, so shaft (6) and shaft (5) will turn freely. 7. Secure 3 bearing housings (2) to center seat support with 12 washers (8), 6 screws (9), and new lock nuts (10). 8. Install actuator arm (11) on inner shaft (6). Install key (12) in inner shaft (6). Secure arm (11), and key (12) with new lock nut (13) and screw (14). Tighten screw to 240 to 300 lb-in (28 to 34 N•m) torque. 0366 00-7
