TM 9-2350-247-20-2 REPLACE STEERING CONTROL/LINKAGE (M548A1) — Continued 0366 00 NOTE Check left and right steering levers to determine, by part number, which disassembly procedure to use. For left and right steering levers with part numbers 11589025 and 11589024, respectively, do Steps 6 - 17 to disassemble, then go to Step 25. For left and right steering levers with part numbers 12269205 and 12269206, respectively, do Steps 6 - 11, then go to Step 18 to disassemble. 6. Remove two aligning pins (1) from bearing (2) or hull. 7. Remove lock nut (3), two washers (4), and screw (5) from left steering lever (6). Remove left control shaft (7) from steering lever (6). Remove key (8) from control shaft. Discard lock nut. 8. Loosen setscrew (9) on bearing (2). Remove left control shaft (7), spacer washer (10), spacer washer (11), and bearing unit (2) from right steering control shaft (12). 9. Remove lock nut (13) and screw (14) from right steering control shaft (12). Remove right steering lever (15) from right steering control shaft. 10. Remove two lock nuts (16), screw (17), stop screw (18), and two quadrant stops (19) from quadrant bracket (20). Remove steering lever quadrant(21) and steering lever quadrant (22) from quadrant bracket. Discard lock nuts. 11. Remove two bearing retainer rings (23) and bracket bearing (24) from quadrant bracket (20). 0366 00-3
