TM 9-2350-247-20-2 REPLACE IDLER WHEEL ARM ASSEMBLY — Continued 0354 00 NOTE Install lubrication fitting (2) on the forward side of idler wheel arm (WP 0128 00). 2. Install safety relief valve (1) and lubrication fitting (2) in idler wheel arm (3). 3. Install new seal (4) and idler wheel arm (3) on spindle (5). NOTE When installing retaining ring (7), have helper push spindle (5) slightly to compress seal (4). This will make installation of retaining ring easier. 4. Install spacer (6), retaining ring (7), and new preformed packing (8) in idler wheel arm (3). 5. Install access cover (9) and retaining ring (10) in idler wheel arm (3). 6. Place track tension adjuster on shaft (11) at rear of idler arm (3). Align spindle (5) with holes on hull. Secure with eight screws (12). Tighten screws to 315-325 lb-ft (427-441 N•m) torque. 7. Fill idler wheel arm (3) with grease (WP 0128 00). FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS 1. Connect track tension adjuster to idler wheel arm (WP 0356 00). 2. Install road wheel hub (WP 0352 00). 3. Connect track and adjust tension (see your -10). 4. Road test carrier (WP 0128 00) to check that idler wheel arm is installed properly. END OF TASK 0354 00-4
