TM 9-2350-247-20-2 REPLACE DIFFERENTIAL OIL PUMP (M548A1) — Continued 0336 00 INSTALLATION NOTE If new pump is installed, remove hose fittings from old pump and put them on new one. 1. Install pump drive key (1) and new retaining ring (2) on pump (3). 2. Place pump (3) with new gasket (4) on transfer gearcase (5). Make sure key (1) mates with slot in oil pump drive gear in gearcase. 3. Put a light coat of antiseize compound on threads of two screws (6). Secure pump (3) to transfer gearcase (5) with two screws (6) and new key washers (7). Tighten screws to 35 - 40 pound-feet (47 - 54 N•m) torque. Bend tabs of key washers to secure screws. 4. Install one or more washers (8) as needed to secure differential pump drive gear against retaining ring (2) on shaft of pump (3). Install slotted nut (9) and secure with new cotter pin (10). 5. Install cover and spacer (11) on transfer gearcase (5). Secure with two new key washers (12) and screws (13). 6. Connect inlet hose (14) and outlet hose (15) to pump (3). 7. Tighten all hose and bracket connections. 0336 00-3
