TM 9-2350-247-20-2 REPLACE LEFT FINAL DRIVE SHAFT (M548A1) — Continued 0333 00 INSTALLATION NOTE Some universal joints do not have lubrication fittings. 1. If removed, install four lubrication fittings (1) in two universal joints (2). 2. Install yoke (3) in final drive (4). NOTE Use 5/32 inch (4 mm) thick, hardened steel flat washers only. These are 6C universal joints only. 3. Install two universal joints (2), one on yoke (3) and the other on differential (5). Secure with eight new screws (6) and flat washers (7). 4. Place connector (8) on two universal joints (2). Secure with eight new screws (6) and flat washers (7). 5. Tighten 16 screws (6) to 35-40 lb-ft (47-54 N•m) torque. Loosen and retighten screws to 35-40 lb-ft (47-54 N•m) torque. FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS 1. Lube two universal joints (WP 0128 00). 2. Install left center floor plates (WP 0394 00). 3. Road test carrier (WP 0128 00) to check left final drive shaft for proper operation. END OF TASK 0333 00-2
