TM 9-2350-247-20-2 REPLACE TRANSMISSION OIL FILTER ELEMENT (M548A1) — Continued 0320 00 INSTALLATION NOTE Fluid filter element kit consists of 2 different preformed packings and element. 1. Install new preformed packing (1) and new preformed packing (2) on new oil filter element (3). 2. Install retainer (4), spring (5), and cover (6) on oil filter element (3). 3. Install oil filter element (3) in transmission (7). 4. Hook strap (8) on weldment (9). Secure with nut (10) and screw (11). 5. Install new preformed packing (12) and drain plug (13) on transmission (7). FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS 1. Add oil to transmission (WP 0128 00). 2. Start engine (see your -10). Check oil filter for leaks. 3. Stop engine (see your -10). 4. Install hull bottom access cover (WP 0383 00). END OF TASK 0320 00-2
