TM 9-2350-247-20-2 REPLACE TRANSMISSION OIL HOSES AND FITTINGS (M548A1) — Continued 0318 00 INSTALLATION 1. Put a light coat of sealing compound on outside straight and tapered pipe thread fittings. 2. Install front hose bracket (16) on transmission. Secure with new tab washer (15) and screw (14). 3. Install new preformed packing (13) and transmission inlet adapter (3) on transmission. 4. Install new preformed packing (12) and transmission outlet adapter (11) on transmission. 5. Install cooler inlet nipple (10), cooler inlet tee (9), and tee inlet elbow (8) on oil cooler (7). 6. Install cooler outlet elbow (2) on oil cooler (7). 7. Connect cooler-to-transmission hose (1) to transmission inlet adapter (3) and cooler outlet elbow (2). 8. Apply a thin coat of sealing compound to threads of elbow (6). 9. Install elbow (6) on transmission inlet adapter (3). 10. Connect hose (5) with clamp (4) to elbow (6). Tighten clamp. 0318 00-4
