TM 9-2350-247-20-2 ADJUST TRANSMISSION BRAKES (M548A3) — Continued 0314 00 NOTE If indicator stopped before APPLY mark, brakesare too tight. If indicator stopped past APPLY mark, brakes need to be tightened. 9. Turn brake adjustment screw (11) inside transmission to adjust brakes. If indicator passed READJUST mark, turn to left to tighten. If indicator did not reach APPLY mark, turn to right to loosen. 10. Check transmission brake adjustment (WP 0313 00) 11. Repeat Step 9 and Step 10 as needed until indicator stops at APPLY mark. 12. Install new gasket (1) and cover (2) on transmission (3). Secure with six washers (4) and new self-locking screws (5). Tighten screws to 156-180 lb-in (18-20 N•m) torque. FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS 1. Install seat support (WP 0395 00). 2. Install cab floor plates (WP 0395 00). END OF TASK 0314 00-4
