TM 9-2350-247-20-2 ADJUST TRANSMISSION STEERING (M548A3) — Continued 0312 00 ADJUSTMENT WARNING Stop engine before making adjustment (see your -10). C A U T I O N Care must be taken to keep tools from falling into transmission during adjustment procedures. NOTE If there is any change in track tension or if there is any hydrostatic noise from the transmission at any speed, the steering unit needs adjustment. 1. Remove access plug (1) and preformed packing (2) from steering centering adjustment on left rear of transmission. Discard preformed packing. NOTE Be careful not to turn adjusting screw when loosening jam nut. 2. Loosen jam nut (3) on adjusting screw (4). Use steer centering adjusting tool. 0312 00-3
