TM 9-2350-247-20-2 REPLACE TOW START CABLE/COVER (M548A3) — Continued 0310 00 INSTALLATION 1. Install remote control lever (1) on remote control lever (2). Secure with headed pin (3) and new cotter pin (4). 2. Install remote control lever assembly (2) on transmission. Secure with two washers (5) and screws (6). Torque screws to 216 to 240 lb-in (24 to 27 N•m). NOTE When installing tow start cable assembly, hold securing nut and washer behind mounting hole in bracket and insert tow start cable assembly through hole, washer and nut at same time. 3. Install tow start cable assembly (7) through mounting hole in bracket (8). Secure with washer (9) and nut (10). 4. Route tow start cable assembly (7) to transmission. 5. Install one retainer collar (11) with setscrew (12) on end of tow start cable assembly (7). 6. Install headed pin (13) in remote control lever (1) and insert end of tow start cable assembly (7) through hole in pin (13). 7. Secure tow start cable assembly (7) to bulkhead with screw (14), two washers (15), clamp (16), and new lock nut (17). 0310 00-5
